Polisena LAltro Agriturismo Veg is in the Lombardy countryside, 25 minutes drive from Bergamo and 35 minutes from Lecco lake. Built in the 1700s, it is an organic farmhouse that produces its own wine and has an organic restaurant, open from Wednesday to Sunday.
The philosophy that inspired the creation of the property, as well as the raw materials used in the kitchen and everything we grow, including the wine we produce, is inspired by environmental sustainability.
The energy sources for heating and hot water production use exclusively renewable sources such as: photovoltaic, solar thermal, geothermal and biomass. For these reasons, the shower water cannot be boiling, but only pleasantly warm.
This eco-friendly property is actually an ex monastery with a quiet setting in the hills and surrounded by its private vineyards. It has been built using natural materials such as stone and wood.
Rooms are allergy-free and have a modern design with wood floors and interesting furnishings. With free Wi-Fi,rooms overlook the surrounding countryside and vineyards and have access to a bioclimatic verandah.
Agriturismo Polisena LAltro uses homegrown ingredients in its organic restaurant, with a mainly vegetarian proposal. You can also take part in wine tastings in the propertys vineyard. A spa with Turkish bath and a Finnish sauna is also available with a surcharge.
The propertys wine is famous in the Valcalepio wine area and is available to buy on site. Pontida Train Station is 10 minutes drive away. A free shuttle tofrom Orio Al Serio Airport can be organised on request.
The hotel day starts from hour 13:30 and ends at 10:30.
Access to the wellness centre comes at a surcharge.
The propertys organic restaurant is open from Wednesday until Sunday and serves mainly vegan and vegetarian dishes.
